Let's bring in the New Year........................

With Jofy set number 5....

Here is my December DT for Ali Crafts using the lovely Jofy 5 set.

Sometimes you may come across people who do not really celebrate Christmas, but do bring in the New Year. So with that in mind I set about making a card that Celebrates the New Year.

Here is the result..........................

Sorry for the trimmer in the background!
Here is a quick run down on how to make it.

8 1/4 x 81/4 Cream Card stock scored in half, Stamp the Cross Hatch image around all the edges in Archival Ink in Fern Green.

Then apply Antique Linen Distress ink around the edges.

Take a panel cream card and stamp a Text image all over in Antique Linen Distress ink and let fry, Then apply Antique linen and Brushed Corduroy.

Stamp the Tassels image three times in Black Archival ink on the panel and leave to dry. Now on some scrap cream card, take the tassel stamp and stamp in black ink and Heat emboss in WOW clear embossing powder, once set, colour in image using mica paints and leave to dry, then cut out.

You can see the dimension here.

Stamp the word bar two times so you can cut out Happy New Year, heat emboss as before. Then paint with Gold Mica paints, as the writing is raised it acts like a resist so the words are not obstructed.

Using foam pads adhere the main panel onto the card base, then add your cut out tassles and words.

Voila your card is completed.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a very Happy New Year.

Don't forget to book your places at Ali-craft retreats and workshops, full details are available on the website.

Happy Stamping

Good Monday morning to you!

Heidi here, I am sharing a quick & easy Christmas Tag with you today.

I have made the tag with some oddments of black, white and silver mirri card and have used a gorgeously vintage reindeer image, which I have stamped and embossed in mono colours.

Here is a list of the products that I have used :

Crafty Individuals - CI-358 'Magical Reindeer' Stamp
Black Cardstock
Silver Mirri Card
White A4 Stamping Cardstock
White Sheer Ribbon
Marianne 'Snowflake' Die
Versafine Clear Inkpad
Black Embossing Power
Large White Pearl
Tools Used : Heat Gun, Tweezers, Crop-O-Dile, Strong Double-Sided Tape,
Sharp Scissors

How the Tag was made :

(1) Cut a large tag from black card, measuring : 16.5cms x 10.5cms.
(2) Cut a square of silver mirri card, measuring : 9cms x 9cms.
(3) Cut a piece of white card, measuring 8.5cms x 8.5cms.
(4) Using the Versafine inkpad, stamp up image onto white square and cover with black embossing powder. Hold image with tweezers, heat all over with heat-gun, place to one side to cool.
(5) Make two holes in top of tag, thread through white sheer ribbon, tie a bow and cut edges.
(6) Die-cut one snowflake from silver mirri card, stick to bow.
(7) Stick image to mirri card square and stick down onto tag.
(8) Stick two pieces of strong double-sided tape to bottom of tag. Pleat ribbon across as shown.
(8) Add large white pearl to centre of snowflake.

A JoFy Christmas banner tutorial

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I have put together a tutorial to show you how I made this banner using one of the gorgeous JoFy Christmas sets.

To make the banner, you will need:

- JoFy Christmas stamps
- Banner and scalloped border banner dies
- Alcohol markers
- Stick on gems
- Glitter glue
- Distress ink
- Baker's twine
- Red and White card
- Eyelet setter and Eyelets (not shown)
- Small bows and wooden stars

Step by Step instructions:

1. Die cut 5 banner shapes from white card

2. Stamp images from the set on the banner shapes.
I stamped several lines of one of the borders on this one.

3. I used a sentiment to stamp the middle banner and repeat
stamped the snowflakes around it,

4. Colour in your images using alcohol markers

5. Ink around the edges of all the banner shapes using Distress ink.
I used Tea Dye for mine.

6. Sew around the edges of all the banner shapes using a sewing machine.

7. Die cut 5 scalloped banner shapes from red card

8. Add your coloured in banners to the red scalloped banners and
set with eyelets in top corners

9. Decorate each banner shape with gems, glitter glue and bows

10. String the banner shapes together using Baker's twine

Your banner is now finished and ready to hang! I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial and you will inspired to create your own Christmas banner. Have a lovely Christmas!

Christmas Canvas

Hi Everyone

This is the canvas i did at the Oyster Stamps Weekend Retreat
I did the basic canvas with the crafters, and they were then able to take it home to finish with all the christmas bits and pieces they gathered over the christmas break
Neet did a tag pocket for the second day

I started the project with  2 x square canvas, mine measured 8x8", but you can use any size
Barn door distress paint
Graphic45 12 days of Christmas 8x8 paper pad

Using Canvas on a roll i measured and cut out a piece to cover the join between the two canvases, creasing the piece down the middle, to allow for you to fold the canvases together. I then used a heavy duty double sided tape to stick the canvas pieces onto the canvas.
I then cut pieces of canvas to cover all the from wooden bits, as they tend to have lots of staples on show.
Paint the whole canvas with the Barn door distress paint, this give a nice covering to the whole piece

Cut out two pages from your Graphic45 pad, and cover the inner section of your canvas

Measure and stick Graphic45 and ribbon to canvas

For the front, i have used a sheet of the Graphic45 christmas paper, ripped around the edges, then given a bit of colour from any colour of distress inks, curling the top and bottom corner to give a bit of dimension
I cut one of the panels (graphic45) and mounted this onto a pieces of black card, and stuck down with foam pads, with a smudge of stickler on the front

I then stamped a tress stamp, using verse mark ink, and glittery white wow powder, cut out and layered onto the paper front

Andrea finished the canvas off for me.
Using some mount board strips, painted in the same distress paint to section off one of the sides to give some panels.
Using Graphic45 papers, some fussy cutting, and christmas bits and pieces to fill in your panels

We hope you enjoy this project
You can use pictures inside for a christmas keepsake

JOFY Christmas Stamps

Hi Blogging Friends, Angela back from Felix the Crafty Cat and it's my turn today to show you what I have been up to.
Been using the JOFY Christmas stamps set 06, available from Ali-Craft.

I love these stamps, you get so many in a set and they stamp very  clearly.
If you pop over to my blog you can see other samples I have made.

I couldn't resist these stamps and have bought the set 03 which has some great images for focal points.

I began this by making a Masterboard. Those who are familiar with my work will know how much I love these.

First using the large stamp from set 06 and Perfect Medium, emboss with clear embossing powder.
Next colour the card by lightly covering a craft mat with Peacock Feathers distress ink, spritz with water and drag the card over it.
Allow this to dry before starting the next stage.
Tip: If the embossed detail looks a bit dull, buff it lightly with a soft cloth or paper towel. Although the embossed detail does not absorb the ink, some may dry on it making it look dull.

Using the same stamp and Peacock Feathers distress ink, offset the stamped image as shown below.

Then use the border stamp from set 06 and stamp this four times.
These need to be cut out ready to be used to border the topper.

Next stamp the baubles from the set 03 onto white card and decorate with Stickles glue.
Stamp the sentiment from set 06 across the bottom of the card and mount this onto green and silver card.

The design is now ready for the final construction.

After completing the topper, stamp the sentiment again this time using the same coloured ink as the baubles to give a reflective appearance to the words.

Well that's all for now.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas, back in January.
Big Crafty Hugs,
Angela x
